My name is Tom Ammon. You can read more about me here.

This site is a companion to my blog at https://blog.tomammon.net. The content on this site is intended to provide a deeper technical dive into the topics introduced in the blog.

Learning a new technology can be fraught with difficulty. Although some tools and technologies are more difficult to get started with than others, all of them have some sort of learning curve that must be climbed before you can really see the potential for their application in a real production environment. Sometimes, that learning curve is so steep that it seems not worth the effort to learn the new tech. This initial phase of uncertainty and intimidation is not unlike the fog of war - and many times, we prematurely give up on new ideas that have the potential to be great force multipliers in our work.

In my own journey, I have also experienced what it’s like to climb a new learning curve when you have the benefit of a knowledgeable guide - and it’s a completely different experience. My goal in publishing this content is to provide you with that knowledgeable guide, to cut through the noise and confusion, and get you up, running, and productive as fast as possible.

If you want to chat, you can find me on Twitter, LinkedIn, or e-mail, and I’d love to start up a conversation with you.
